And then he fell.
And then today, he did it again-- 3 different times. On the 3rd try he took TWO steps before falling backward onto his cushy little tushy.
And I realized I've been TERRIBLE about recording his milestones and growth. Which is funny because I've actually been enjoying his babyhood immensely. I spend lots of time playing with him and holding him, but I've been very lazy about pictures and writing in the baby book. See, I don't even have a picture of this massive achievement. And he's 9 months old! Where is the 9 month old picture? I dunno.
Anyway, so I'm behind. Here's whats been happening.
McKay is officially playing this year. (Last year the coach let him warm up with Hunter's team, so it was unoffical playing I guess.) See how excited he is?
After taking this pictures I stood behind him and would yell at him to "pay attention to the ball!!!!" since he tended not to notice when the ball was coming at him. I had one of those moments where I realized I was sounding like "THAT MOM" -- you know, the crazy yelling mom who's screaming at her kid to hustle or whatever. Boy, it was weird.
McKay's class went last week, and Hunter's goes next week. Jason is actually going with Hunter's class and I'm staying home, so I'm not sure if we'll get any pictures of that one.
McKay with his buddies Conner and Daeton.
"Where are the big ones?"
I found this cool green one, but McKay disapproved because his class has been learning about pumpkins, and how they're not ready until they're orange. He couldn't understand that I liked it BECAUSE it was green.
The 9 month picture:
I guess this can be it.
Ashton has been making friends with Eli, the 6 month old that lives across the street. After his Mom and I took them for a walk in the strollers, we went back to their house to play on the grass and look into the horse pasture. Luckily we've been having great fall weather.
It's nice to have neighbors with grass we can play on, because ours still looks like this:
