The Camera

To answer everyone's question, my new camera is this Canon Powershot SD790 IS Digital Elph. The reason we bought it? I dropped our old camera and after that half of each picture came out black. We bought this particular one because it was the one on sale at Costco. I really love it though, and I promised myself I would read the manual and take advantage of all its coolness. I'm trying....but there is a lot of STUFF to this camera!

Black and White?

I was excited about our new camera because it takes black and white shots and color accent shots. I've been playing with it a bit, but I haven't really gotten any great artsy pictures.

These are some of the color accents I've tried:

And these are some regular black and whites...but I'm not sure if they're not better in color:

Any tips?

Lately the boys favorite thing to do is put on their backpacks and walk around the house. They'll stuff them full of toys and books until they're almost too heavy to carry and just walk around like that. (One day Hunter put his pillow in his backpack and we couldn't find it when it was time for bed.)

The weather has been teasing us. We had a few nice days in the mid-50's and then it got really cold again. I've been hoping the warmth is coming back soon and so I was hopeful on Saturday when the boys had a birthday party at the Playground of Dreams for their friend Conner. We FROZE! It was so cold the kids only played for about 5 minutes before they served cake and opened presents. As soon as the last present was open the parents all insisted that the kids left. The party only lasted about 1/2 hour.

The only pics I got of Hunter were in-motion.

The best part of parties...

Video watching the video

Many of you enjoyed the video I posted of the boys playing the piano-- well, they enjoyed it too. Here's a video of them watching that video - (sounds weird, I know):

Chocolate Pudding

The boys ate every bite of their dinners tonight so I felt inclined to make them a treat. They chose chocolate pudding and then on a whim I threw in some mini marshmallows. It was a big hit.

Please, no more pictures.

Side Note: Who says romance is dead?

Something Jason said to me yesterday:
"What's up with your hair today? It looks all big, and your head looks tiny underneath all that hair."
Then he quickly added,
"I like it though. It looks nice."

Needless to say my hair went into a ponytail for the rest of the day.

Some Quotes I Like

"Whatever you give a woman will multiply. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges whatever is given to her."
(From my friend Randy's blog)

"A woman always has the last word in an argument. Anything a man says after it is the beginning of a new argument."

"Man has his will...But woman has her way."

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift; That's why it's called the PRESENT."
